Clothing quality has seemingly gone down the drain. People are always searching for the best affordable t-shirt, the best jeans for under a certain price, and cashmere sweaters that are more than .1 grams in weight. So the question today is...why?! What happened?! What the heck is plastic?! Today we will dive into the question of "Why is everything worse now?" and we'll look into the depths of pricing data. Then I'll lose my absolute mind at the last second before posting this video because I wanted to confirm I was using the correct data and don't have any friends that work in the economic field. I'm friends with a lot of creative-based people, little light on the math nerds.
Anyways, happy Saturday!

They aren't selling you jeans, they're selling you an idea. If you're smart, you would just ignore them. If you're motivated, you would try to make them yourself and realize just how much work goes into just a single pair of jeans. For reference, the term "Spinster" comes from a time and culture where the women were required to grow enough plant or animal fiber that they could spin enough thread to weave enough fabric to make all of the linens, as a dowry, for the new household they would be in charge of when they got married. A "Spinster" was a woman who could not achieve this feat and was henceforth unmarried. So, enjoy your shite fashion while it is affordable.

The buffalo are also culled for the herds prosperity. They're amazing boots. They're about as natural of a shoe available, natural rubber, plant based thread, plant fiber insole. I got 2 pairs.

The pants at 2:51 have front pleats. You need to iron them with pleats in mind. They should have a nice crisp pleat following all the way down to the hem. Once you hem them they might look dressier if you iron them correctly. Otherwise the front pleats look odd for a casual outfit.

All of you who'd really love a pair of Oneida's but can't afford the stupid $450 price? READ BELOW 🙂 ... I've got you! Its a long read, but I'll tell you how to go about getting your Moccasins! 👍👍👍 First off, I have had 2 pairs of these MANY years ago. Moccasins were the "in" thing for a number of years. Now, I'm talking LIGHT YEARS before probably 99% of you other viewers were not only born, but probably before your PARENTS were even born! So, a LONG time ago. Picture Jimi Hendrix in his big floppy hat with its big peacock feather stuck in the top, and wearing these moccasins with that hat in the slimy mud of Woodstock, and everywhere else around that time. That'd be me, and yes, I've got a couple of photo's to prove it! 😉 The second pair I bought, was over 10 years later, and must have been in 1980. Never bought another pair after that. Why? ... ... Because they were "so great" and "so overbuilt" that I'm still wearing the two pairs I bought way back when? Lol!! No. Hardly! I wore them out in about a year and a half per pair. And by "wore out" I don't mean some scrapes and discoloration. I mean quarter sized holes clean through the bottoms, exposing my sock-less feet! Come to think of it, I actually did try to buy one more pair after 1982, but could no longer find a retailer that sold them! (Remember, this was pre-internet days, but we still had all the resources we have today, it just took a little time to gather those resources together.) We survived just fine without the internet, actually in many ways we did a lot better without it!) But these moccasins weren't available anywhere I could find after about 1982 or 83. So I moved on, and of course, I had retired wearing my Jimi hat some years prior, so wore my second pair with just ordinary jeans and such. As for the "1800 mile WW1 story"...? Who am I to cast dispersion on such a great, patriotic tale? So I'll do no such thing! I will say however, that I wore out both pairs in just over a year's time per pair. Now, that's under a mans use. Let me be more specific: A "mans use" during the 60's, early 70's, and early 80's. Meaning, in contrast to many of todays men, aback in those days men didn't typically have a dozen pairs of shoes in his closet like is very often the case today. Men in those days, didn't think of shoes as a "fashion statement", as many do today. So, we basically had a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of casual dress shoes, and a pair if dress shoes to be worn with a suit. And thats about it. (And maybe that one really worn out pair in the back, we just couldn't make ourselves throw away!) So when I say "I wore them out in a year and a half", that basically means wearing them every day for that period of time! With all that said, unless you're Harrison Ford, and spending $450 bucks is like dropping a penny to you, here's what you do! You go online and go to L.L. Bean company. And buy yourself a pair if Minnetonka moccasins! They're very similar, and they're exceptionally well made, AND they even have a money back guarantee!! And you can get the top of the line for LESS THAN $100 bucks!! Minnetonka... You won't be disappointed! IMO humble opinion, I think the Minnetonka moccasin is even better! And consider this. IF you buy the Minnetonka brand, and for some reason don't like them? L.L. Bean will refund you 100% of your money. So you can do that if you're unhappy, then put another $350+ with your refunded money and go buy your Oneida moccasins! But I seriously doubt you'll do that, if what you're after is solely to get a great pair of moccasins! Now, IF you're really after "bragging rights" more than you're after a good pair of moccasins, OR, you want to be able to play "show & tell" about how "famous" your brand of moccasins are, OR, you want to be able to "brag" about "having to spend" $450 dollars on your moccasins, (just so everyone hears it), then the L.L. Bean, Minnetonka moccasins are obviously NOT going to meet your needs! And that's it folks! Sorry it was so long winded, I could have left out my personal story and details of the hat etc., but, it was an old but fond memory not thought of for decades so I went ahead and decided to share it. 🙂 I really hope this info helps someone out, who would really love to get a pair of Oneida's after seeing this video, but $450 bucks is just not something that can even be considered with your current budget! Now you've got an option to get something just as nice, which looks extremely similar, (pick the corresponding style Minnetonka) and will make you as happy as the Oneida's would! IMO, if you can swing the $100 Minnetonka's, these higher end styles are the best, you'll love them! ** Just FYI, I have absolutely NO affiliation with any company who manufactures or sells the moccasins, or any kind of shoes or apparel in any way shape or form! This advice is purely personal from my own experiences.
